We try to offer many of our schools incentives for the children to go to school and perform well. We are thrilled to continue to provide special award days for "Perfect Attendance" as well as "Proficiency" Awards.
Congrats to all of the students here at Dolores Huerta Elementary School in Los Angeles and to their amazing prinicpal Desiree Manuel!

We are saddened by the loss of a special angel in this world -- and feel so incredibly blessed to have Shirley Weissman's memory live on in a special scholarship we are establishing in her name thanks to her dear daughter Cindy's generous donation. Thank you Cindy! We are blessed!
2nd Annual Pedal on the Pier

We are thrilled to support The Harold Robinson Foundation in their second annual fundraiser Pedal on the Pier. It is a spectacular day and event for a cause. Stationary bikes are set up on the world famous Santa Monica pier. You can ride as an individual or as a team. It is a fun day full of activites, great music - -and a great workout by the ocean. The greatest thing is the money raised helps send thousands of inner city kids to camp at Canyon Creek Sports Camp. The children of ACFC have been fortunate to be a part of this for over ten years. Thanks Jeff Robinson, Daryl Moss and everyone who makes this a reality for our kids and many others. You are AMAZING -- and I encourage everyone to participate in this great event!!!

A Chance for Children strives to empower at-risk youth by providing the opportunities to set goals and the tools to achieve them. We fight to instill the belief that no child is limited by their surroundings or upbringing. By encouraging dreams and consistently exposing them to new experiences outside the dangers and struggles of their daily lives each child will have a chance for a better future.
